Right to work - it is a criminal offence to employ someone who does not have the right to work in the UK. We can offer you advice and guidance on how to perform the appropriate checks on all staff you employ to ensure you do not unknowingly hire someone who is not legally entitled to work in the UK. As section 15 of the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006 says, a civil penalty of up to £10 000 for each illegal employee can be issued to the employer.
